Nonprofit web design · Charlotte, NC

Nonprofit websites a small team can actually run.

Four Eyes designs and builds websites for nonprofits and churches in Charlotte and beyond. The constraint is rarely ambition. It is staff time. We build sites where posting an update, an event, or a campaign takes minutes, and where donating takes three taps.

Why nonprofit sites are different

The website is a staff member. It should not need one of its own.

We design the publishing workflow first.

Most nonprofit sites are rebuilt every few years because the last one became impossible to update. That is a design failure, not a budget problem.

A communications team of one or two people has to post news, events, campaigns, volunteer calls, and annual reports, often on the same day. If each update is a fight with a page builder, the site goes stale and the rebuild cycle starts again.

We design the publishing workflow first. What does staff post every week? Those become purpose-built blocks and templates with fields, not freeform layouts. Roof Above, formed from the merger of two Charlotte organizations, went from forty-five minutes per update to fifteen on the site we built.

Giving has to be frictionless. Most donations start on a phone. The path from any page to a completed gift should be short, fast, and connected to the donor platform you already use, so nothing is re-keyed.

What you get. A custom WordPress site you own outright, with no builder licence. Templates and blocks matched to how your team works. Giving, events, and volunteer flows connected to your existing tools. Accessibility checked at every template. A relaunch that keeps your search rankings. And a maintenance plan built for nonprofits.

How a project runs

Four phases. No surprises late in the build.

Phase 1

Discovery

Goals, constraints, current traffic and rankings, and what must not break. We look before we draw.

Phase 2

Structure

Page tree, content model, and the path from landing page to enquiry, mapped before design.

Phase 3

Design and build

Designed against your real content, built as a custom WordPress theme your staff can edit.

Phase 4

Launch and care

Redirects, metadata, analytics, and monitoring in place before go-live. Maintenance after, if you want it.

Case in point · Roof Above

Two merged organizations, one site, and updates that take fifteen minutes instead of forty-five.

Roof Above formed from two legacy Charlotte nonprofits with two websites. We built one site with blocks matched to what the communications team publishes.
